Material notes / Declare the environment

The polymer name is not a load rating.

Geometry, print orientation, hardware, temperature, chemicals and duty cycle all affect fitness for use.

PETG

General indoor aids and early iterations; heat and chemical exposure must still be checked.

PETG-CF

A stiffer option for suitable fixtures, with abrasive filament handling and anisotropy considered.

PA-CF

Rigid, tough bodies for suitable environments; moisture conditioning and electrical conductivity need review.

ASA

Useful for covers and some warmer or UV-exposed contexts, subject to real exposure testing.

TPU

Compliant pads, masks and grips; not a dimensionally rigid locating material under sustained load.

Metal interfaces

Steel pins, drill bushings, aluminium plates and threaded inserts concentrate precision and wear where needed.

Inspection marks

What the quality record should hold.

  • Named part, machine and fixture revision IDs.
  • Critical dimensions and inspection method.
  • Material and hardware issue.
  • Declared environment and limitations.
  • Prototype observations and written approval.
  • Wear checks and replacement condition.
